you right about it cost , have 2 power amps total 12 channels ! pioneer vsx-lx 503 it does 11 channels. cost $2000.00 with out pioneer avr ! oh have a set of sansui sp-x8900 speakers 250 watts at 8 ohms, sounds so good for older speakers! like your channel!
I need to upgrade my receiver to allow for 3 pre outs. I only have 2 precuts currently. No good for home theater. Then the A3
Any experience with outlaw. Although they do not make a 3 channel, my understanding is that the 5 and 7 channel amps are far superior in build quality and sound quality. Especially with distortion at reference level.

I actually don't see the use of an 'entry level' 3 channel amp to run the fronts. Find me a receiver that has 3 (or more) pre-outs and I'll point to you a decent receiver. For instance, the brand new Yamaha RX-A2A @ 800 USD only has a 2.2 preout. The older (but still current) RX-V1080 has them and it's 1200 bucks but then you might as well get the RX-V2080 and still save 100 bucks over an RX-V1080 plus a BasX A3.
Yamaha V6A receiver + BasX A2 or Denon 4700h. Which one have more power to run Klipsh rp8000f, 502s, 450c(5.1 channel)?? I was going to upgrade my receiver to 4700h but this video made me rethink just adding a power amp. Thanks.
The Gen 2 A7 is pretty much the same as the gen 1 version. I really do like the BasX lines slimmer profile as compared to a lot of other amps out there. Plus they deliver decent power.

Power ratings are for 8 and 4 ohms only. My main speakers are 6 ohms. Can the Emotiva drive them at all? Any possible problems?

If I got 2 A7s = 14 driven channel's , could I bi-amp the front stage (right, left, center)?
If so that would leave 8 chanel's to power the rest. I'm new to this whole separates thing, so I don't even know. Is bi amping front stage a thing? If so is it just crisper more detailed sound?

Been planning how to build out my 7.2.2 system in my new house. I wasn't planning on using external amps but this may have changed my mind. Thinking at the very least I would go with A3.
These are a great option for usage alongside a receiver. I don't see them in a true separates system since I'm sure they will prefer using balanced outputs for cleaner sound. Same for HiFi 2ch systems. But due to the low price, I may be wrong. My 2c.

I can't speak about other brands, but I saw a video from Divine AV Home Theater doing a 7 channel Amp "Dyno test" on the Yamaha RX-V6A and the results where surprisingly better than expected. They also did a 2 channel test and got way more than the rated power. I'm actually curious about the real output on AV Receivers and if there is a standardized test to get the advertised numbers. Why not also advertise the all channel driven output if it's actually good? Am I missing something?
