I consider retirement there, wondering if that area will be the same 10 years from now.
If you stay at a hotel do,you still have to do 90 day reporting for retirement visa or does the hotel reporting cover that , great vids

I've been going there for christmas dinner the past 5 years now. Shame this year won't be one of them.
I have eaten from the stalls along the front in Jomtiem, as well as the market when out from Pattaya, sadly only been on month breaks

You missed soi 7 and soi white house. This part of Jomtien "old town" is popular for retirement Scandinavians "snow birds" since the seventies.
I stayed there a year ago and for this place glory days is over as it is for the hole Pattaya.

Aren’t most of the Jomtien gentlemen’s club closed with the exception of Kit Kat & Seahorse?
Nicely paced and informative video. Jomtien has some cosy little bars and I've found it's a bit cheaper than Pattaya. It would be my choice if I was looking at staying long term and wanted quick access to the beach, how do prices in Jomtien compare to the darkside for accomodation?. Jomtien seems to have more European orientated bars, such as German, Swiss and Scandanavian for some reason, like Naklua area used to be aimed at German and Scandanavian / Swiss visitors back in the day.
JP House (5:09) is a great little restaurant, I had a couple of visits there with a mate few trips back, the food is excellent and really well priced, although getting there was a bit of a task, stopping in each bar on the way for a beer!.
Never knew Jomtien had so many Gentleman's clubs!, maybe time for a drive around showing where they are?.

BJ's Bar was owned by a cranky old Pommie with some sort of skin condition. (warts all over him) Spoke to his staff like crap. last i saw he had it for sale.
I like Jomtien, find its layout, slower pace & nicer beach appealing
Jomtien is a very slow place. Plenty of European style restaurants and businesses serving ethnic fusion foods. Plenty of grandpas happy to sit the beach at sunset. Stray dog paradise too.
Jomtien has a lot of middle class russian families living there permanently. My Russian wife and i got a nice place cheap brand new.
Entertainment in Jomtien is lacking.Most bar girls are middle aged married and or both.
Massage is old style,quite boring, no sex or stimulation with some shops not turn the a/c on
Jomtien has no sex appeal unless the experience of russian girls groups tanning is sexy for you.
Little or no thai female activities with tourists outside of a restaurant or beer hall.
