I was in 2 rehab centers lately they were not like this

its not a nursing home its a retirement community
This places is always talking about the quality of life when in fact family and the nursing facility takes away they quality of life.They put so many restrictions on these elderly in these places it might as well be prison.
This is a beautiful video! I am reading a lot of comments, and have to say that I have worked in nursing homes for over 25 years and have not seen abuse, I am not sure what the comments are all about. I have seen staff that love and treat nursing home residents like family, or even better! Nursing home staff get very protective of their residents, and even angry when family members are rude and mean to the residents, which I have seen a lot of. Sometimes family members need to be sent home or even had the police called on them for yelling and hitting their own elderly family members in the nursing home.
I'm just about finished my training and these comments make me feel terrible. Not every CNA is a terrible, abusive person!

As a caregiver I will never put my parents in a nursing home. I will serve and takecare of them until their last breath. Because seeing every day the sadness,loneliness and the feel of abandonment of our patient is so heart breaking.
I will never lit my parents suffer that kind of feelings. I will take of care and serve them as like what they've done to me when I was still a child.

Old folks should live with their children if they have any. Period .. these people feel really lonely at this age and don’t forget that all of us will be old one day
The best therapy for these geriatrics is the presence of their so called grown up kids. Old parents need care of their kids in such hard times when they become weak.
