When we travelled by ship, the luggage which would be needed during the voyage would be stored in the baggage compartment. Other luggage gets stored in the cargo area.

New words/Different meaning of specific words I learned today ;
1.Baggage ; emotional burden.
Baggage example;
She has lot of baggage cause she has been holding grudges for him.
2. Stationary : something or someone not moving , standing still.
Example ; I bumped into stationary vehicle and dropped all my stationery.
3. Aspire: aspire meaning having a strong desire to achieve something.
Aspire example ; she aspires to be a top model.
4 . beside : sitting next to something and someone
Beside example;
She sit beside me .
Besides : in adding to something and other meaning is apart from
Besides examples;
I love this book besides few pages they were pretty boring.
I have got my salary today let's go shopping besides I need clothes for winter.
5. Presume. Guessing something with evidence
I presume this car is v rare . ( presuming coz she read about it somewhere, but she is not sure)
Assume; guessing something with no evidence or with less confidence.
I assumed she won't come at party today .
6. Capitol : A building where all politics discuss about laws.
They all gathered in Capitol to discuss new law for woman rights.

I think you skated over the differences between complicated and complex. This is quite a deep subject. It worried me as a native English speaker that perhaps while I knew there was a difference I found it hard to define in my head, Thank you – I have now researched it and have acquired a basic grasp of the subject.

Respectfully, I disagree. The use I have seen in American English is that "presume" is like a cautious educated guess, while "assume" is a belief with no proof that causes an (usually wrong) action supported on that belief only. That's the reason of the "ass" saying.
